Cake Brownies

These Cake Brownies are bites of fudgey deliciousness. Get your chocolate fix in just 40 minutes, or top with ice cream for the best brownie sundae ever.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips Optional

Instructions

  • Grease a 9x13 pan with cooking oil spray; set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a sauce pan add butter and chocolate chips (not the optional chips), over low heat, stir until completely melted and well combined.
  • Once melted, remove from heat and add milk and sugar. Stir vigorously adding eggs, one at a time until each egg is fully incorporated. 
  • Add in flour, baking soda and salt, stir until combined. Add in vanilla and mini chocolate chips if using, then pour batter into prepared pan. 
  • Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool, cut into squares and serve.
