SLOW COOKER CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS - A deliciously easy twist on a classic. Fresh vegetables, chicken and simplified dumplings it will be an instant hit.

  • 3 large chicken breast
  • 4 celery stalks diced
  • 4 carrots diced
  • 1 small yellow onion diced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cans cream of chicken
  • 10 frozen biscuits
  1. Line the bottom of your slow cooker with the chicken breast.
  2. Top chicken breast with carrots, celery and onions. Stir together the seasonings in a small bowl and sprinkle over the top of the chicken and veggies.
  3. In a medium sized bowl (approximately 4-6 cups) and mix together the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup.
  4. Pour broth mixture over the vegetables. Place lid on slow cooker and bake on high for 5-6 hours.
  5. Remove lid and reduce heat to low on the slow cooker. Add the frozen biscuits gently on top of the gravy. Close the lid and cook on low for 1 more hour.
  6. Remove lid and turn off slow cooker - let it sit for 10 minutes. Then serve.
  7. Make sure when you scoop it give each person 1 biscuit and about 1/3 to a 1/2 of a chicken breast. Use a ladle to grab some extra gravy if you need.
