And Dad will thank you for it. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get grilling and make this Father’s Day extra special! Happy Father’s Day!

I must confess that I prefer Father’s Day over Mother’s Day, not just because it’s a chance to celebrate my amazing husband but because of the food. I’ve always wondered why Mother’s Day is typically marked with breakfast or brunch. Is it because the celebration ends early, leaving moms with only a few hours “off” before returning to their regular duties? Why can’t moms have a barbecue celebration like dads do? Barbecues are held later in the day, and the food is better.

Who came up with the assumption that moms don’t enjoy meat or grilling? It’s unfair to generalize. Moms deserve to have a variety of options like steak, grilled chicken, salads, dips, chips, and dessert instead of just egg souffles and yogurt. Let’s be honest, these two options don’t even compare. Maybe this idea was pushed by Hallmark, but it’s time to move past it.

I want to let you know that for Mother’s Day, I plan on having a barbecue later in the day instead of breakfast.

So, check out the menu and treat all the dads in your life to an amazing day. Then, save this experience for your own special day next year because we all deserve to celebrate how awesome we are with a meal like this.
