This Semi-Homemade Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Ice Cream is the best ice cream I have ever had, ever! It is so easy to make, and just in time for summer.
My husband and I came home one afternoon to our son, Aiden overjoyed with a recipe he had created while we were gone. A treat especially made just for us. When I took a bite of this Semi-Homemade Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Ice Cream I was instantly in love and more than impressed. I couldn’t stop eating it. Literally I think my husband had maybe two bites and I ate the rest.
It was one of the sweetest things my son Aiden has done. He loves coming up with recipes and many times we have come home to a dessert creation. They have all been so good, but this ice cream is off the charts. When I asked him if I could put it on my blog his cute little face lit up. He beamed with pride.
So we whipped up this ice cream again and he walked me through it step by step, thank goodness it only has a couple of steps because Aiden is a boy of MANY words (Smile). Once the ice cream was frozen, he watched me take pictures and had to approve the images shown.
I loved that we did this together and he is already thinking of his next recipe to feature. Who knows in the future, he may just take it over? But for now enjoy this deliciously yummy, perfect summer treat of Semi-Homemade Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Ice Cream from my little sous chef, Aiden.
Enjoy! XOXO San
How do you make Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Ice Cream?
In a blender add ice cream, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. Blend on high until well combined. We used our Blendtec and set it on the ice cream setting.
Blend for 10-15 seconds, then stop the blender and stir with a spoon, just to get the big chunks mixed in. Then place lid back on blender and blender for another 20-30 seconds, or until smooth and creamy.
Mixture will be runny, like the texture of a shake, maybe even a little runnier depending on your blender. Pour mixture into a freezer-friendly dish, cover and place in freezer until frozen, about 1-2 hours.
Remove from freezer and serve. Enjoy!
