Pull-Apart Pizza Bites are a quick, easy, and delicious meal to serve as a dinner or appetizer. Dress with the toppings you like from your favorite pizza.
I am all about easy meals that please my family. With 5 kids, you know that pizza is a weekly meal here. It’s everyone’s favorite and the kids love to have as much cheese on it as the dough can handle. That is everyone except Madden, who removes all the cheese from his pizza (a new phase and one that extremely irritates the rest of us).
While preparing dinner a week ago, I was getting out some rolls to have with our soup that night, and while I was laying out the Rhode’s rolls into the pan, I thought of this genius and easy dinner idea. Why not add our favorite pizza toppings in-between and on top of the Rhode’s rolls and then bake them to make ooey-gooey, cheesy pizza bites.?
So I tried it out, the first time was a fail as I added pizza sauce and the rolls just didn’t cook as even with it. Eliminating the sauce in the pan with the rolls and instead serving it as a dipper worked. These Pull Apart Pizza Bites turned out A-H-MAZING! They were a hit! My husband said it was one of his favorite meals ever!
This meal was so easy to prepare that I can’t wait to make this for future parties to serve this as an appetizer or even to take this as a meal to friends. It will be a hit! I mean if all 5 kids, my hubby, and I love it, then there you have it! A fantastic easy meal, and its pizza! What’s not to love?

How do you make Pull Apart Pizza Bites?
-
Spray a 9×13 pan with cooking oil.
-
Place the frozen Rhodes rolls in pan in 5 rows of 4 rolls, leaving space for rising.
-
Take pepperoni slices and place in between the frozen rolls, and a few on top if you like. Then toss cooked Italian sausage on top of the rolls, make sure that the sausage is cooled completely.
-
Add additional toppings if you desire, then sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups of the shredded mozzarella cheese; make sure that the cheese is in between the rolls, not just on top.
-
Then sprinkle the 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning evenly over the rolls and toppings.
-
Cover with a dry kitchen towel, and let them rise 3-5 hours.
-
Once the rolls have risen, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-
Sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese over the rolls, then place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
-
Remove from oven and serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Here is my recipe for homemade marinara.

WOW! These look so good! Gonna have to try them soon.
Wow! These bites look amazing! Nicely done! And thanks for baking with Rhodes 🙂
Looks wonderful and just in time for the Super Bowl!
These look really good, but I am concerned about leaving the meat and cheese at bread rising temperature for so long. Is it a food safety hazard?
Rita, the pepperoni should be more than fine, since you buy it on the shelf at the store, at least I do. As for the cheese, if you are worried, just add it before you bake. Enjoy!
I am making this RIGHT NOW! I’ve been waiting for this all well!!!! It looks so good! I will keep you posted on how it turns out for me!!!!
I didn’t understand the recipe…you put 20 rolls on a pan and then put pepperoni in between???????? are you adding another layer of rolls on top of the pepperoni???
No just one layer of rolls.
Can the rolls be cut in half or quarters ??
Yes they may. I like the idea of cutting them in half!
Loved this! Actually the whole family loved this….. Young and old! I changed it just a little. I didn’t have any Italian sausage, so I left that out. Added 4 more rolls, cut them all in half, and used a lasagna pan. Thank you! I added this to my recipes!
