Easy Sausage Quiche is easy to make & devour. We make this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Who would have thought it’d be one of my family’s favorites?!
This Easy Sausage Quiche is a delicious household staple. It’s super fun and easy to bake, especially on cold wintry days! It’s perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, and every meal in between!
My kids seriously love quiche and will eat it for any meal. I only recently discovered this after moving next door to the “Quiche Queen” Jill. She makes quiche all the time for dinner and since my Jersey eats dinner there at least once a week, I have heard rave reviews. Jill being a working, single mom she told me how easy it was for her to make quiche for dinner and that she loves the simplicity of it. Her kids love it too and obviously, Jersey does as well.
What to serve with quiche?
I love making this with a few healthy sides to make a complete meal.
- Apple Walnut Salad
- Banana Blueberry Muffins
- Pumpkin Oat Breakfast Cookies
- Blueberry Banana Muffins
- Berry Fruit Salad
- Lemon Poppyseed Fruit Salad
- Coffee Cake
Once I figured out how much my kids love quiche, I took Jill’s lead and started making quiche for dinner. The best part about this, is I make 3 at a time so the leftovers make a great breakfast or lunch and the kids love it.
Once I started making it for dinner and I found how easy it was it quickly became a weekly thing. Now because we have a large family, I always make 2-3. Because of the leftovers as I mentioned and two, it really isn’t that much harder. I have two meals ready in less than an hour with a prep time total of 20 minutes.
We are now on a quiche streak and we have more of our favorite recipes coming up. But since sausage was the first one we made, well, it’s the first to be shared. If you want to make the crust from scratch (totally recommend) then try My Favorite All-Butter Pie Crust (from Crazy For Crust).
So cheers to great new neighbors who share their to-go-to meals, their home and making friends that will last a lifetime. So enjoy this Easy Sausage Quiche from our oven to yours. XOXO San
How do you make Easy Sausage Quiche?
-
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
-
Roll out pie crust into pie pan.
-
Top pie crust with sausage, cheese, and onion. You can mix the sausage, cheese, and onion in a medium mixing bowl and then throw into the pie crust. I prefer to layer it – one less dish to wash.
-
Mix the eggs and half and half in a bowl with seasonings, and pour egg mixture over toppings in the pie crust.
-
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat, leaving the pie in the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 35 minutes. When it is done the top of the quiche will begin to turn a nice golden brown.
-
Remove from oven and allow to sit 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
How do you store quiche?
Once baked, a quiche should be refrigerated.
Leave the cooked quiche in its baking pan and wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
Eat within 3-4 days of making.
You can also freeze quiche in an airtight freezer bag.
This will extend the life up to 1-2 months.

Just checking, so you put the quiche filling into an unbaked pie crust?
How long will this last before going bad?
2 or 3 days when refrigerated at 40° or below.
do you bake pie crust first?
Hello. The recipe ingredients include adding some dry mustard but there is no directions saying where/how to add it to the quiche! Can you please specify? Thanks 🙂
It should be added into the egg mixture before pouring into the crust. Thanks for pointing that out!
Never left instructions on when to add the dry mustard??
Thanks for pointing that out, it’s been fixed! They should be mixed in with the egg and milk mixture before pouring into the crust.

Can you prepare day ahead then refrigerate bake next day??
You can totally prepare the filling and crust the day before, but wait to pour the filling into the crust until just before baking it as it may get soggy.
