Goodbye Black Friday & November! Welcome beautiful white and snowy December. I am grateful for the weeks to come.
Did you have a great Thanksgiving, friends? I sure did. My sister and I had Thanksgiving just with our two families. It was so relaxing. We only had 10 mouths to feed and we made enough for 50! We didn’t mind. And the leftovers are even better than the original dinner, at least I think. The one thing we didn’t have enough of was gravy. The kids pretty much devoured it.
After the amazing meal, we went Black Friday shopping. Mostly I got everything on-line and everyone else must have as well. As there were not many people out and shopping. Of course, there was a line at Target but that was maybe 8 minutes at the most. I only went to two stores that night and only because my son needed boots for hunting. The Black Friday deals were not that good this year, so I wasn’t surprised that there were not many people out. I am glad people were at home enjoying their time off.
Now it is back to the grind. And you can guarantee I will be using many of these ideas for the week ahead, as I am still in vacation mode and haven’t planned a thing.
Happy holiday weekend, friends, cheers to more parties, celebrations and family time ahead.

Hmm. My favorite holiday treat? I love my daughter’s blueberry cheesecake, my daughter-in-law’s green bean casserole, and my other daughter’s rolls. I know that’s more than one treat, but anything I don’t have to worry about on Thanksgiving/Christmas day is my favorite!
