Chocolate Dipped Donut Pops

Valentines is such a fun holiday for kids. They love to write their names on their valentines and hand them out with their favorite treat. On the way home from dropping my older kids off at school, the kids asked if they could make a treat for their preschool friends. Well…I wasn’t prepared nor did we have much time.

They are all preschool age, so they have a streak of strong independence. Therefore we had to make something simple and easy so that they could do it on their own. So this is what I came up with, a Chocolate Dipped Donut Pop. I went to store-bought the ingredients, costing me less than $6 and off we were, for a twenty-minute project that would be easy to clean up, fun for them to do and exciting to eat.

Kids Review: HUGE hit! They loved doing it all on their own. Yes, they ate things along the way and yes there was powdered sugar all over the clothes, but they were happy and I was able to clean and put the dishes away without anyone pulling on my leg. PERK!

  1. LOVE THIS IDEA!!! That’s so smart to begin with a donut hole as the baking process is when I always loose my kids’ attention. You’re a genius!

  2. I love learning about simple and easy to make treats that have a lot of visual appeal. I actually collect them because my son is majoring in Hotel and Restaurant Management in college. He dreams of becoming a chef and starting his own restaurant. I make him read through the recipes I have collected for him to have ideas to share during cooking lab. This recipe just won its place in my collection. Thanks for sharing.
