A Dash of Sanity’s 1st Birthday & KitchenAid Giveaway
A Dash of Sanity’s 1st Birthday & KitchenAid Giveaway
Wow, I honestly can’t believe it has been a year since I started this little blog, A Dash of Sanity.
It has been one amazing journey of food, laughter, messy kitchen, obscene amount of food photos, creating little foodie snobs (my kids) and well an additional 13 lbs. added to my waist line.
Every moment, well maybe not every, as I am sure my husband recalls a few epic breakdowns…but overall, every moment has been worth it.
This journey all started when I met my new BFF, Sarah. She blogs over at High Heels & Grills, yes, you must check her site out, it has so many great recipes!
She was in the process of moving to Fort Collins and since we go to the same church I was aware she was moving here, before she actually arrived.
It was awesome, we became instant friends over the phone. Then when we had them over for dinner and she mentioned blogging. My reaction was, “what’s blogging?” I didn’t know that all those pins on Pinterest were from a blogger, crazy. I was intrigued. Why not share something I love with others.
Transforming to a stay-at-home mom and daycare provider from the fast pace executive business world was just fine overall, but I missed the challenges. Like creating reports, generating a sale, working on proposals, and all the creative fun things, like a marketing promotion or client dinners. So blogging seemed like the perfect avenue to have the best of both worlds and it has been.
A perk too, I have made so many new friends. Too many to count. I asked a few to celebrate with me so we are bringing you this awesome giveaway!
A KitchenAid Pro 450 Series 4.5 Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer, Color Red, enter at the bottom of the post to win.
While reflecting on the last year, there are a few things, or should I say recipes that have stuck in my mind. So let me share a few of those posts with you.
Most viewed is my Chicken Fettuccine Bake. But in a close second, Sicilian Chicken Soup.
Most active posts from pins, comments and share are my German Chocolate posts, so I put both of them here.
Best Ever German Chocolate Cake & German Chocolate Cake Cookies
First post to go viral for A Dash of Sanity, Amazing Soft Sugar Cookies.
(Well first post, besides my Chicken Fettuccine Bake, which took off thanks to Lori, over at Recipe Girl, she shared it and it really got my blog known. THANKS Lori! XOXO)
My favorite recipe, Zucchini Enchiladas with Roasted Green Chile Sauce.
My kids favorite recipe and most requested to make over and over, Banana Split Cupcake.
Thanks for sharing this last year with me! I feel incredibly blessed and grateful.
A huge shout out to my husband, if it weren’t for his love, support and encouragement I would have not made it through out this part year. He has been my rock and #1 fan, thanks babe.
There are so exciting things already planned in the coming year, so I can’t wait to see you back here soon.
XOXO San
