A Dash of Sanity's 2013 Top 6 Viewed Recipes

While reflecting on the past year I realized that my life has been nothing short of blessing after blessing. My first year or should I say my, first two and half months of blogging have been exhilarating, fun, adventurous and rewarding.

I feel so lucky to have met my friend, Sarah Averett also a fellow food blogger over at www.highheelsandgrills.com who introduced me to this whole new “bloggy” world. I not only gained a new friend forever, but she gave me strength and encouragement to try something out of the ordinary for me. It has been nice to share what has been my everyday life and cooking with you. I love to be in the kitchen and serve my friends & family through my love of food.

But taking it to the internet has brought me to a whole new level and brought me additional joy. Blogging allowed me to feel that my day is not as daunting as it may seem from time to time, but instead more thrilling. I felt that as though I was using my brain in a different way by being able to converse with other adults, people near my own age…wow, I know. My readers and fans have encouraged me through their comments, shares and “likes”.

In addition, I have met many new friends that I never would have met otherwise. I want to thank you for being a part of the last (almost) 3 months. I especially want to thank my husband Jake for his love, support, gentle encouragement and for the devoted foodie you are. To my family, thanks for your encouragement and constant support in all that I do. And to my kids for your honest feedback, picture taking assistance and laughter…I love you!

I am looking forward to everything that 2014 has to offer A Dash of Sanity and what my kitchen can bring to yours!
